Philosophy: There are two approaches to music: one, as entertainment,
the other, as art. Many say, "Well, it's really both. Music is a form of
entertainment, but it is also an art form - a mix between the two." Justin
believes that it is really either-or. A musical entertainer is a person
who searched for a way to entertain people through or with music. This type
of person will attempt to produce what people will appreciate and/or buy.
In this situation the listeners ultimately decide what type of music the
entertainer creates or performs. A musical artist is a person who creates
music for him or herself. A person of this mindset creates music, that her
or she thinks is good, just for the sake of creating it, or for the sake
of self-expression. For this person, the fact that people like his or her
music is simply a bonus, because he or she would continue to create, whether
people appreciate it or not.
